SunnyCon Anime Expo Liverpool will be held at Liverpool Exhibition Centre, Kings Dock. Below is a map to the stadium along with all transport links.


The Centre is situated on the UNESCO world heritage Kings Dock in the centre of Liverpool.

The Liverpool ONE retail development bus station is just five minutes’ walk from Exhibition Centre Liverpool, which offers long distance coach services for visitors. Local services take visitors to the city center where a convenient shuttle bus service connects to Exhibition Centre Liverpool.


Most Liverpool city centre-bound buses stop at either Queen Square bus station (a 15-minute walk or shuttle bus connection) or Liverpool ONE Bus Station, which is only a five minute walk from Exhibition Centre Liverpool.


The CityLink Route C4 shuttle bus links Queen Square bus station, James Street rail station and Liverpool ONE Bus Station to ACC Liverpool. It operates every 30 minutes, seven days a week, between 7am – 8pm. Valid on this service are Merseytravel prepaid tickets and National Concessionary bus passes.




The Liverpool Waterfront is clearly signposted throughout and on the approach to the city. Arriving by car, simply follow the white-on-brown tourist route signs for the Waterfront, then Arena, Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre. The signs are prominent on all major routes into the city. Just to the south of Albert Dock, Exhibition Centre Liverpool is situated on Kings Dock and is near the unmissable Wheel of Liverpool landmark.

Currently the waterfront car park is closed but should reopen in time for August 2019. Car parking is available at a nearby retail complex, with 3,000 spaces spread across three sites. Options include car parks open 24 hours.

Low-cost and charter flights to domestic, European and International destinations all operate from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.


Even more domestic and international destinations connect to Manchester Airport, just 45 minutes away from Exhibition Centre Liverpool. One of the UK’s top 10 busiest airports, Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) handled over 4.5 million passengers in 2012. It features flights to approximately 75 destinations in the UK and across Europe.


Low cost airlines Ryanair and easyJet both have large bases at JLA. A taxi from the airport to the city centre will take approximately 20 minutes or the express bus service Route 500 will take approximately 25 minutes, dropping you off within a five minute walk of Exhibition Centre Liverpool. Just 45 minutes’ away via the motorway network, Manchester Airport has an extensive network of international flights, with long haul destinations including America and the Far East served with direct services. Once again, we can arrange private transfers for you.





Exhibition Centre Liverpool is just over two hours from London via direct train services, and a short taxi- or bus-ride from Liverpool Lime Street mainline station. There are also a range of regional and local rail connections to choose from across the North West.


Services operate from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street directly and hourly, to arrive in just over two hours. Visitors have a choice of further long-distance rail services from the same central station.


It is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street or a short taxi ride to Exhibition Centre Liverpool. Alternatively visitors can transfer to the underground Wirral Line trains to James Street station, a 10-minute walk away, or take the CityLink Route C4 which operates seven days a week directly to Exhibition Centre Liverpool. When travelling from outside Merseyside, tickets include travel via the underground train to James Street from Lime Street station.





Visitors  who like to walk or cycle will enjoy the wide, boulevards adjacent to the Liverpool Waterfront and pedestrian plazas in and around Exhibition Centre Liverpool.


Cyclists can easily find their way around Liverpool thanks to a network of designated cycle routes. Visitors wishing to come to Exhibition Centre Liverpool by bicycle can find out more about the routes available from Liverpool City Council’s website.


Bicycles are free on ferries and trains in Merseyside and most stations benefit from free, secure cycle storage.


Citybike, run by Liverpool City Council is the largest public bicycle scheme outside of London, launched in May 2014 and is set to offer over 100 stations within the first twelve months. Tariff packages available from £3 per day, stations are available at Lime Street as well as across the city centre and waterfront areas.


Another enjoyable experience in Liverpool city centre is walking. It is the best way to experience the city life, seeing the architecture close up and experiencing the friendly nature of the city’s people. Exhibition Centre Liverpool, Liverpool ONE retail area and the Waterfront boulevard are pedestrianised areas that link to each other.
